Ollie and Olga Card

Here is a card I have made to enter Karens Doodles Challenge, their challenge this week is pink and brown but I am sure there will be other challenges I can enter it into.

I saw a beautiful christmas card that Pauline had made for her guest designer project over at Do you stack up, I can see why they asked her as she is super talented, if you haven't come across her fantastic blog you can visit it by clicking HERE
As you all know I love learning to make unusual folded cards so I emailed her to ask if she could tell me the measurements so I could use the fold on a card. She had actually bought her base cards in a pack of 5 but very kindly said she would measure the card folds and email me the measurements, thank you so much Pauline, I really enjoyed making this card.

I have had Karens Doodles wonderful Ollie and Olga digi image for some time now but this is the first time I have got around to using it. I have coloured the image in with the following Copics R000, Y23, E35 and E33.

I took some pink paper and embossed it with my Cute Companions hearts embossing folder and then matted and layered onto brown paper and then stuck to each panel on the card base. I then cut 3 hearts, 1 large and 2 small with my hearts and scalloped hearts nesties and put the large one inside the card to write a message on and the 2 smaller ones I stuck to the front of the card with 3d foam pads to raise them up from the main card.

I finished off the card with some brown and white dotty ribbon on the front panel and then added a bow to match.

I am entering this card into the following challenges

Pennys Anything Goes challenge card

Here is my DT card for this fortnights challenge Anything Goes challenge over at Pennys, come on over and join in with our challenge as we are sponsored by Some odd girl this week.

The fold is on the top of the card, I have used the largest Go Create scalloped circle die as these are bigger than nesties. I then die cut the brown card to cover where the fold is. I also cut a scalloped circle in gold card and green card using the same set from Go Create as they are autumnal colours to go with the image.

The image is from our sponsor this week - Some odd girl and is called Windy Mae. I have coloured her with Copics. I then faux stitched around the image with a brown Marvey Le Plume pen and then matted and layered onto gold card and then onto the brown, finishing the card off with Craftwork Candy in each of the scallops.

A christmas gatefolded easel card

I enjoyed Karens Doodles Blog Hop the other day and decided to make a card to enter into the blog hop challenge as the winner is going to win all of the newly released christmas images, how cool would that be.

I decided to incorporate two types of card into one project so I have made a gatefolded easel card.

I have used two of Karens wonderful images which I already had to make this card, one is called Bigsby Wreath and the other is Bigsby candy cane which I coloured with a mixture of Copics and Promarkers. I have used Sandstone and Blush for Bigsby in Promarkers, (I thought he would look better in the lighter colours instead of grey because of the colours I have used on the actual card) and the following Copics, YG67, G17, G28, Y28, R27.

So I made the easel bit first in Green card, adding some 6 x 6 holly paper onto the base and added some Glitteration lines around the edges and then punched a strip of green card with my Martha Stewart snowflake punch on both sides, added some fine line glitterations on each side and added Merry Christmas with Anitas Merry Christmas Glitterations.

The next step was to make the gatefold part, adding the same paper on both sides of the gatefold again edging with gold glitterations on the inside and outside of the card. I added some gold paper to the centre panel and some green card on top of that. After colouring the Bigsby Candy Cane image I punched a snowflake in all 4 corners and edged with gold glitterations and then stuck to the green card to complete the inside.

I printed out a Bigsby Wreath image and then flipped the image and printed out another one to go on the doors of the gatefold. I coloured them both in and then cut using my circle nesties and matted and layered onto green scalloped circles cut using nesties again. I also added some Glitteration dots in each scallop and then added a gold organza ribbon around the card before sticking these down so that they would hold the ribbon in the right place when stuck down and tied into a bow to finish it off.

My DT card for OSAAT - Anything Goes Challenge

Here is my DT card for our 79th challenge - Anything Goes over at One stitch at a time We are sponsored this week by The stamping boutique

The prize is 5 digi images of your choice so hop over and join in the fun.

I have followed the lovely sketch over at Papertake weekly just adding the flower in the top right hand corner in addition to their sketch.

The image I have used is by Jessica at Floppy Latte Designs which has been coloured with Copics. I then mat and layered this onto a bright pink piece of paper.

On the base of the card I have used some spotty paper from a Smirk 6 x 6 paper pad, the other two designer papers are also from the same pack and I have mat and layered those onto the same pink paper before sticking to the card.

The pink ribbon has butterflies on it, the 3 pink dots are card candi from Craftwork cards and the flower with a brad in the middle were all from my craft stash.

The sentiment is a peel off which I just stuck to the pink paper and then to the card to finish it off nicely.
